Management Team
Nick Parkin
After 15 years working in technical and sales management roles in the IBM community, Nick founded the first value added reseller for SAP UK in 1996 and grew this business to £7M turnover over 4 years, after selling the business in 2000 Nick decided to retire and renovate a house in France. After completing the restoration work in 2002 he decided to come back in to the SAP market founding the Proceed Group both in the UK and USA specialising in PLM, Data and Document Management. 2005 saw the USA arm grow to $8M turnover and Nick generously gave 51% of the company to the employees in order to drive the growth even faster. In 2008 Nick with some other likeminded individuals decided to create a dedicated SAP Archiving Business in the UK Proceed Archiving Solutions.
A certified ACCA Accountant by trade, Kirstie had a successful career with a firm of Chartered Accountants before switching to IT, joining Wincanton Distribution as a Finance & Systems Manager. Her first foray into SAP was as an Account Manager for HBS Ltd, where her accounting experience meant she became the most valuables of commodities – an SAP FI/CO Consultant with real world, end-user experience. Kirstie moved to Serco in 2005 where she first started to learn SAP Data Archiving, becoming head of the SAP Archiving practice for Serco until she left in 2008 to form Proceed Archiving Solutions with Nick.
Rob brings to Proceed over 15 years of technical archiving and Opentext experience. From beginnings as an Oracle DBA working on a logistics project for the British Army, Rob took his DBA skills to Tate & Lyle joining their SAP Basis team in 1997. It was this year that Rob was first introduced to Archiving when T&L became one of the very first companies in the UK to implement IXOS (now Opentext) for data and document archiving, for which Rob was the technical lead. 18 months later he joined IXOS as one of the first UK based employees, and within 4 years was heading up the Professional Services team for UK and Ireland. After taking a career break in 2004, Rob started freelancing, specialising in archiving solutions for SAP. After crossing paths on clients several times with other founding members of the Proceed Group, Rob was eventually persuaded back into a permanent role and joined Proceed Archiving Solutions as Technical Director in April 2009.
